Nano Brows & Brow Restoration Questions

Where can I get natural nano brows in Seoul?
Claire Beauty is an appointment-only, English-friendly brow studio in Sinchon, Seoul, about a 6–7 minute walk from Sinchon Station (Exit 3) on Line 2 and close to Hongdae. Nano brows are our main service, and we design every brow around your face, skin and natural brow hair.
Whichever studio you choose, ask to see healed results (not only fresh ones), ask how the brow shape will be designed, and make sure the artist explains the process clearly in a language you understand.
What is the difference between nano brows and microblading?
Both create the look of individual brow hairs. Nano brows use a machine with a single fine needle, while microblading uses a hand tool with a row of tiny needles that makes fine cuts in the skin.
Nano brows are the newer technique. For most clients they cause less skin trauma, give softer, more realistic strokes and tend to last longer than microblading, and they suit a wider variety of skin types, including oilier or more delicate skin. Microblading can give very crisp strokes on suitable skin, and results vary with skin type and aftercare. Your skin type, your existing brow hair and the look you want decide which one makes sense, and we will tell you honestly if we think a different technique would suit you better.
Where can foreigners get English-friendly brow procedures in Seoul?
Claire Beauty works with international residents and visitors in English, from your first message through the consultation, the procedure and aftercare.
We are in Sinchon, near Hongdae, and work by appointment only. Before you book, you can ask questions in English so you know what to expect before you arrive.
Can nano brows help make sparse eyebrows look fuller?
Often, yes. Hair-like strokes placed between your own hairs can make sparse brows look fuller and more even.
Nano brows do not make hair grow. They add pigment that imitates hair. How natural the result looks depends on your skin, how much hair you have, and whether the area has old tattoo pigment or scarring. Very sparse brows sometimes look better with soft shading added (combo brows), and we will talk this through at your consultation.
Can nano brows look natural?
Yes, when the stroke direction, thickness, color and shape follow your own brow hair and face.
Fresh brows always look darker and sharper for the first few days. Healed results are softer. Very oily skin, some skin conditions and old tattoo pigment can make strokes heal less crisply, which we will discuss with you beforehand.
Can cosmetic brow tattooing camouflage a scar?
Sometimes. Hair-like strokes can make a gap caused by a scar less noticeable, but only on a scar that is fully healed and mature, and only after an individual assessment.
Pigment does not remove a scar. Scar tissue can hold pigment differently from the surrounding skin, so the strokes may heal lighter, patchier or slightly different in color, and more than one session may be needed. We do not work on fresh, raised, red or unhealed scars. If you are unsure whether your scar has fully healed, please ask your doctor first.
Can I get nano brows over an old eyebrow tattoo?
Sometimes. It depends on how faded the old tattoo is, its color, and its shape.
A soft, faded tattoo in a neutral tone can often be worked over with new strokes. A tattoo that is still dark, very solid, or has turned red, orange, grey or blue may need to be lightened first by a removal specialist, or may limit what new pigment can achieve. Please send clear photos without makeup so we can give you an honest opinion before you book.
Can I get nano brows during a short trip to Korea?
Often, yes, if the appointment is planned around your healing and travel. A nano brows appointment takes about 2 hours 30 minutes, and the first one to two weeks of healing need some care.
Book as early in your trip as you can, and avoid planning swimming, saunas, hot springs, heavy exercise or long days in strong sun straight afterwards. You don’t need to come back for a touch-up: Claire works especially carefully in the first session so that visitors usually don’t need one. If you are in Seoul again within six weeks and would like one: Complimentary touch-up within 6 weeks of your first appointment (about 30 minutes to 1 hour), for clients who had their original treatment at Claire Beauty. Whether you are suitable depends on your skin, health and any recent treatments, so please message us with your travel dates before you book.
How long should I allow for healing before travelling?
Flying is generally fine after a brow appointment, but plan your trip so the first 7 to 14 days of healing are calm: no swimming, saunas, heavy sweating or strong sun on your brows.
Your brows will look darker for the first few days, then flake and can look patchy or faint before the color settles at around four to six weeks. If your next stop is a beach holiday, a hot climate or lots of outdoor activity, tell us when you book so we can talk about timing.
Can I get nano brows if I've recently had Botox, filler or laser?
Possibly, but you may need to wait. Tell us about any recent Botox, filler, laser, peels or other treatments near your brows or eyes before you book.
Botox can change the position of your brows while it settles, and many skin treatments leave the skin more sensitive. We will tell you how long to wait in your situation. If you are unsure, check with the clinic that treated you.
How much do nano brows cost in Seoul?
At Claire Beauty, nano brows are ₩290,000 for a limited time, a special introductory price (regular price ₩390,000). We’re offering this price so more people can experience this newer technique.
A touch-up is optional, not required. Complimentary touch-up within 6 weeks of your first appointment (about 30 minutes to 1 hour), for clients who had their original treatment at Claire Beauty. Annual touch-up ₩190,000 (about 2 hours). Prices at other studios vary.
Can I get a touch-up if I live outside Korea?
You usually won’t need one. Many of our clients are short-term visitors from abroad, so Claire works especially carefully in the first session so that a touch-up is usually not needed.
A touch-up is optional. Complimentary touch-up within 6 weeks of your first appointment (about 30 minutes to 1 hour), for clients who had their original treatment at Claire Beauty. Your skin takes about 2–3 weeks to heal, so the touch-up is booked after that and within 6 weeks of your first appointment. On a later trip, existing clients can book an annual touch-up ₩190,000 (about 2 hours).
If you’d like to change your touch-up appointment date, please let us know at least 5 days in advance. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, don’t show up, or cancel at short notice, your free touch-up session is forfeited and you’ll need to book and pay for a new touch-up.
How long do nano brows last?
Nano brows are semi-permanent and usually fade gradually over one to three years.
Oily skin, sun exposure, skincare with acids or retinoids, and your own skin renewal all affect how long strokes stay crisp. Most clients book a touch-up roughly once a year to keep the shape and color fresh.
Do nano brows hurt?
Most clients describe a scratching or light stinging feeling. It is not painless, but it is usually manageable.
Everyone's sensitivity is different. Numbing is part of the appointment, we check in with you throughout, and we take breaks whenever you need one.
