Brow Restoration in Seoul
Brow restoration at Claire Beauty, an English-friendly studio in Sinchon, Seoul, uses nano brows to fill scars and gaps or rebuild sparse or missing brows. The price is based on nano brows pricing and is confirmed after we see photos, so please message us three clear photos first.
Nano brows aren’t only about making brows prettier. They’re a way to recreate what is missing: to fill a gap where a scar broke the brow, rebuild hair that has gone, or create brows for people who never had much to begin with. We assess every case individually and are honest about what pigment can and cannot do.
Why people come to us for restoration
Many of the people who ask about restoration aren’t looking for a new look. They want something back.
A scar through the brow
A scar can leave a line or patch where no hair grows. Hair strokes can help connect the brow across it.
Brows that have partly disappeared
Over-plucking, rubbing, thinning tails or patchy hair loss can leave gaps that makeup has to cover every day.
Brows lost during treatment
Sometimes, when your hair grows back, your brows don’t. For some clients, getting their brows back is about more than beauty.
Never had much brow hair
If you’ve never really had brows, we can design them from scratch around your face and the hair you do have.
Brow restoration is not a separate machine or a secret technique. It is an approach: we usually use nano brow hair strokes, sometimes with soft shading, designed specifically around what is missing and why. The planning is what makes it different.
Scars: connecting a broken brow
Sometimes you don’t need a new brow. You just want your old brow back. When a scar runs through the brow, hair strokes placed in the direction of your own hair can make the gap much less noticeable, so the brow reads as one line again. This is scar camouflage, not scar treatment: pigment changes how the brow looks around the scar, not the scar itself. Scars need extra care:
- The scar must be fully healed and mature. We do not work on fresh, red, raised or still-changing scars. Scars can take many months, sometimes longer, to settle. If you’re unsure, ask your doctor.
- Scar tissue holds pigment differently. Strokes may heal lighter, patchier or a slightly different color than on the surrounding skin.
- Some scars are not suitable. Raised (hypertrophic) or keloid scars, or skin that tends to form keloids, may need a medical opinion first.
Send a clear close-up of the scar in daylight, and tell us when and how it happened. We will tell you honestly whether we think it’s worth trying.
In a short client video, a client talks about the scar that ran horizontally through her left brow, and how it looks now.
Brows that have partly disappeared
Brows can thin in one area for many reasons: years of over-plucking, habits like rubbing or pulling, tails that thin with age, or patchy hair loss. We map where the brow should start, arch and end based on your eye and bone structure, then rebuild the missing part with fine strokes that blend into the hair you still have. Faces are naturally asymmetrical, so the goal is balance rather than two identical brows.
If you don’t know why your brow hair is falling out, please see a doctor first. Some causes are treatable, and hair may grow back. With alopecia, hair loss can change over time; pigment does not affect hair growth, and how the skin holds pigment varies.
Brows lost during medical treatment
When your hair grows back, sometimes your brows don’t, or not in the same way. Losing your brows can change how you see your own face, and for some clients, getting them back is about feeling like themselves again. We approach these appointments gently and without rushing.
- We work after treatment, not during it. If you are having chemotherapy or other medical treatment, or have recently finished it, please talk to your medical team before any cosmetic tattooing. Treatment can affect healing and infection risk, and timing matters.
- Your skin needs to be ready. In some cases we will ask you to check with your doctor that your skin has recovered before we book.
- No promises we can’t keep. Skin that has been through treatment can hold pigment unpredictably. We will tell you what we think is realistic.
You are welcome to send photos and ask questions privately before deciding anything. You don’t need to share medical details by message; we can talk through what matters in person.
Never had much brow hair
What if you’ve never had brows to begin with? Nano brows aren’t only for people who want better brows. They’re also for people who don’t have much brow hair at all. We start by looking at your face shape, bone structure and any fine or light hairs and follicles you do have, then place each stroke in the direction real hair would grow. If there is very little hair to blend with, a little shading behind the strokes (see combo brows) can make the result look softer and more even.
Old brow tattooing
Old brow tattoos often fade unevenly or change color over time, turning grey, blue, red or orange. Whether we can work over one depends on:
- How faded it is. Soft, faded pigment is much easier to work with.
- Its color. Warm or cool shifts can sometimes be balanced; very strong discoloration usually can’t be fully hidden.
- Its shape. If the old shape sits too high, too low or too wide, new strokes can’t make it disappear.
If an old tattoo is too dark or in the wrong place, the honest answer is usually to lighten it first with a removal specialist and then plan new brows once the skin has healed. We will tell you if we think that’s the case. More in Brow Advice
What cosmetic restoration can do
- Recreate the look of brow hair where it is missing
- Connect a brow broken by a healed scar, so it reads as one line
- Rebuild a missing or short brow tail
- Create brows for people with very little brow hair
- Help both brows look more balanced
What it cannot do
- Grow hair or stop hair loss
- Remove, repair or treat a scar
- Treat alopecia or any medical condition
- Guarantee how pigment will heal in scarred or treated skin
- Fully cover a dark or discolored old tattoo
How restoration appointments work
- Message us. Tell us what’s bothering you. If you’ve had brow tattooing before, send a front photo of both brows and a close-up of each, without makeup.
- Our assessment. We reply with what we think is possible, any concerns, and whether you might need medical advice first.
- Consultation and design. At the studio we look closely at your skin and hair, map the shape and agree it with you.
- Procedure. Usually nano brow strokes, sometimes with soft shading, focused on the areas that need it.
- Touch-up, if you want one. Scarred or treated skin can hold pigment unevenly, so a touch-up can help here. It’s optional: complimentary within 6 weeks of your first appointment (about 30 minutes to 1 hour) for clients who had their original treatment at Claire Beauty.

Questions about brow restoration
Can nano brows help make sparse eyebrows look fuller?
Often, yes. Hair-like strokes placed between your own hairs can make sparse brows look fuller and more even.
Nano brows do not make hair grow. They add pigment that imitates hair. How natural the result looks depends on your skin, how much hair you have, and whether the area has old tattoo pigment or scarring. Very sparse brows sometimes look better with soft shading added (combo brows), and we will talk this through at your consultation.
Can cosmetic brow tattooing camouflage a scar?
Sometimes. Hair-like strokes can make a gap caused by a scar less noticeable, but only on a scar that is fully healed and mature, and only after an individual assessment.
Pigment does not remove a scar. Scar tissue can hold pigment differently from the surrounding skin, so the strokes may heal lighter, patchier or slightly different in color, and more than one session may be needed. We do not work on fresh, raised, red or unhealed scars. If you are unsure whether your scar has fully healed, please ask your doctor first.
Can I get nano brows over an old eyebrow tattoo?
Sometimes. It depends on how faded the old tattoo is, its color, and its shape.
A soft, faded tattoo in a neutral tone can often be worked over with new strokes. A tattoo that is still dark, very solid, or has turned red, orange, grey or blue may need to be lightened first by a removal specialist, or may limit what new pigment can achieve. Please send clear photos without makeup so we can give you an honest opinion before you book.
In clients’ words
I’m a natural blonde with a scar running horizontally through my left brow. … The scar in my left brow isn’t noticeable at all, and the shape suits my other facial features well.
My brows look so natural, defined, and perfectly shaped! Before they were super patchy and asymmetrical.
Love my brows- had become very sparse with age and now they are full.
Something missing from your brows?
Send us photos and tell us what you’d like back. We’ll give you an honest opinion before you book anything.
