Lip Blush in Seoul

Lip blush at Claire Beauty, an English-friendly studio in Sinchon, Seoul, costs ₩290,000, and the appointment takes about 3 hours. Lips heal in about 2–3 weeks, and a touch-up within 6 weeks is complimentary if you need one; color retention varies from person to person.

Lip blush is a semi-permanent lip tint. A soft layer of pigment evens out lip color and gently defines the shape, for a natural flush that lasts without lipstick. Results and color retention vary from person to person.

The procedure

We use a machine to place a soft, sheer layer of pigment across the lips, often blurring the edges slightly so the result looks like a natural lip tint rather than a lipstick outline. The aim is to even out lip color and slightly define the shape.

Choosing a color

Lip color heals differently on everyone. We look at your natural lip color, skin undertone and any uneven or darker areas, then mix a shade with you. Very dark or cool-toned lips may need a corrective approach and more than one session, and some colors can’t be achieved on every lip.

Who it may suit

  • Pale, uneven or faded lip color
  • People who want soft color without daily lipstick
  • Slightly blurred or uneven lip edges

If you have ever had a cold sore, tell us before booking. The procedure can trigger an outbreak, and you may need to ask your doctor about antiviral medication beforehand. We can’t work on lips with an active cold sore, cracks or irritation. Lip filler should be fully settled first; ask us about timing.

Please tell us before booking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take blood-thinning medication or isotretinoin, are having medical treatment, have a skin condition in the area, tend to form keloid scars, or have recently had Botox, filler, laser or other treatments nearby. You may need to wait, or check with your doctor first.

Healing

  • Days 1–3: swelling and very bright, intense color.
  • Days 3–7: peeling. Don’t pick.
  • Weeks 2–3: color often looks much paler or uneven as new skin forms.
  • Weeks 4–6: color gradually returns and settles. If you’d like a touch-up: Complimentary touch-up within 6 weeks of your first appointment, for clients who had their original treatment at Claire Beauty. The time varies depending on how your lips have healed.

Aftercare

  • Keep lips moisturized with the balm we recommend.
  • Drink through a straw and avoid spicy, salty or very hot food for the first days.
  • No lipstick or lip products other than the recommended balm until healed.
  • Avoid kissing, swimming, saunas and strong sun during early healing.

Limitations

Color retention on lips varies more than on brows. Some people hold color well; others lose much of it and need a second session. The healed color may be softer or slightly different from the shade we mix. Swelling is normal; infection, cold sore outbreaks and allergic reactions are possible.
