Combo brows at Claire Beauty, an English-friendly studio in Sinchon, Seoul, costs ₩250,000, and the appointment takes about 2 hours. Results are semi-permanent and usually last about 1–2 years. Skin heals in about 2–3 weeks, and a touch-up within 6 weeks is complimentary if you need one.
Combo brows combine fine hair strokes at the front of the brow with soft shading through the body and tail. They suit people who want brows that look natural but a little more filled-in, and they can work well on very sparse brows.

What combo brows are
Combo brows combine two techniques. The front of the brow is made with fine hair strokes, which keeps it soft and natural where it’s most visible. Through the body and tail, light machine shading adds density behind the strokes, a bit like filling your brows with a pencil or powder.
Who may prefer combo brows
- People with very sparse brows, where strokes alone may look thin
- People who like a little definition, as if wearing light brow makeup
- Oily or combination skin, where shading tends to hold more evenly than strokes
- Some restoration cases, such as recreating a missing tail
If you want the most natural, makeup-free look and have a reasonable amount of hair, nano brows alone may suit you better.
Please tell us before booking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take blood-thinning medication or isotretinoin, are having medical treatment, have a skin condition in the area, tend to form keloid scars, or have recently had Botox, filler, laser or other treatments nearby. You may need to wait, or check with your doctor first.
How dense should the shading be?
That’s your choice, and we’ll show you on the drawn shape. Many people prefer the shading to stay soft, so the brows look natural without makeup and can be defined further with a pencil if they like.
Healing
Shaded areas look noticeably darker for the first week and then lighten as the skin flakes. The color settles at four to six weeks, when you can decide whether you’d like a touch-up. Complimentary touch-up within 6 weeks of your first appointment (about 30 minutes to 1 hour), for clients who had their original treatment at Claire Beauty. Aftercare
Limitations and risks
- Results vary with skin type, oiliness, sun exposure, skincare and healing.
- Pigment fades over time and its tone can shift slightly.
- Redness and swelling are common at first. Infection or allergic reaction is rare but possible; see a doctor if pain, heat, swelling or discharge gets worse.
- It is semi-permanent, not permanent, and does not make hair grow.
